Ecolo news

At Centropolis, we like to provide guilt-free enjoyment while seeking out a few lucky finds or a gourmet dish, but we make no compromises with the environment.

Lighting is carefully designed and calibrated to reduce energy consumption and to create the perfect atmosphere. Every drop of water is used thoughtfully and responsibly with the aim of reducing consumption as much as possible. We have also created an innovative water retention basin, which collects rainwater and cleans it, replenishing the water table, reducing demand on the public network and acting as a favourable environment for biodiversity.

We have also implemented a complete recycling program inspired by the 3R’s – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. All maintenance residues from various landscaping works are composted and reused to promote the growth of ornamental plants.

We encourage the use of healthy materials in all new construction and respect a construction waste management program. In the same way, we also ensure proper management of hazardous waste.

As well as being carefully maintained, air-conditioning units operate on HCFC-22, a gas that is less harmful to the ozone layer, unlike the Freon used previously. We take part in environmental events, work to acquire green certifications and plant trees as much as possible.

Here are a few of our contributions to protecting our environment and to improving your experience at Centropolis.
