As part of la Grande fête des pompiers, a special luncheon will be held at Sterlings restaurant on Saturday, June 2nd starting at 12:00 pm, with the presence of several firefighters from different editions of the calendar " Nos pompiers, nos héros ", from various fire departments in Quebec.

Tickets for the luncheon are $ 40 each, including a three course meal, one free drink and a photo with firefighters from the calendar! In addition, for a group of 10 people, tickets will cost $ 35 each.

All the proceeds raised during this activity will be donated to the Quebec Firefighters Foundation for Major Burn Victims.

On Wednesday, June 6th, the Balthazar is organizing a fundraiser event with the musical group “Rain or Shine”. The tickets are $ 15 each and include a Griffon/St-Ambroise beverage as well as a 2 for 1 entry to Ofuro Spa in Morin Heights. All the proceeds raised through this event will go to two organizations, the Foundation of Ataxia Charlevoix-Saguenay and the Association of parents of children with DS-21, Lanaudière.

A major addition to la Grande fête des pompiers is the Firefighter Race, whose partners Médicus and 42.2 Course . Marche and for which all the proceeds will be donated to the Quebec Firefighters Foundation for Major Burn Victims.

This race, the only one in Laval, will be held on Sunday, June 3 starting at 8:15 am and will consist of two races, the first of 2 km for children and a second of 5 km for adults.

Registration fees are $ 20 for the 2 km race and $ 35 for the 5 km race. To register online, please visit the following link www.fetedespompiers.com/course.php. It should be noted that all the participants will receive a participation medal, an official  Firefighter Race tech shirt, a light lunch upon arrival and, on request, a personalized certificate printable a few weeks after the event. In addition, the bakery Première Moisson will serve pastries to the participants.

Centropolis is very proud to welcome back la Grande fête des pompiers! This major event will be held on June 2nd and 3rd, on the axis of the promenade du Centropolis.

Created in 2007, la Grande fête des pompiers is one of the largest gatherings of its kind in Quebec and has become an annual event and a leading family event which brings together not only the people in the Laval area, but also those of neighboring cities as well as elsewhere in Quebec.

On the program; antique fire trucks parade, rescue demonstrations, firefighter challenge tests for children, smoke house, entertainment, inflatable games and much more!

There will be some major additions to the event this year, namely the special dinner with firefighters and the firefighter race, both benefiting the Quebec Firefighters Foundation for Major Burn Victims, as well as musical performances which will be given on a stage erected near the Place Centrale.

Indeed, there will be an opening show given by the group Discothèque on Friday, June 1st starting at 8:00 pm, as well as two performances on Saturday, June 2nd, the first given by the group Mosaik, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm and a second performance from the group Grand Boulevard, from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
